Additional Breeding Information
We take great pride in our beautiful Baroques and would love to share that beauty through their offspring with you.
OOC:
Who is standing at stud? All studs listed under Up for Stud. If all of our stallions are competing there are none available for a live cover at this time send us a message on E.S.
We want our stallions to pass down a legacy of not only good looks but grace, showmanship and athleticism as well! Our stallions are most often taught in dressage but we also train them in jumping and take them running. This increases their flexibility while keeping them fit and staving off boredom. It's great for their muscles and their mindsets!
Stallion vs Gelding? Most stallions do not and cannot compete in shows. Stallions have a tendency to be harder to control due to their hormones. This means an easily distracted horse. Even the best mannered stallion cannot always be predictable around a mare in heat. Not all but most! Males used for breeding are typically out of sires who have offspring that do well in shows but whose conformation is so amazing that they are chosen to be kept intact for stud. The males who leave our facilities will be left intact if used for breeding purposes and halter only. Otherwise if used for competition a random generator will be used and the chances of gelding will be 90%.
Available Broodmares? Broodmares for public use are rare. If there are any available they will be listed in their own category under the breed. Like our stallions we would like them to have ring experience to ensure all future foals are indeed from exceptional parentage.
What breeds can I breed to your horses? Other Andalusians, Friesians, Lusitanos, Warlanders, Warmbloods, Thoroughbreds, Hanoverians, Azteca, Spanish-Norman, Arabians, Iberian stock, American Quarter Horse, Percherons, ect. Andalusians are the founding stock for many, many lines. Just make sure that when you breed your horse to us you know what breed the two will produce and what that offspring typically looks like so you won't be surprised at conformation and colors! We strive for accurate color and conformation.
